This is to give notice of the u3a in Scotland 2026 AGM at 10.30am on 11th June 2026 on Zoom

If you wish to attend this meeting please notify the secretary on the email address above by 9th June.  All u3a members in Scotland are eligible to attend and indeed are very welcome. There is no restriction on numbers from any u3a at present but if applications exceed the zoom capacity (highly unlikely) this may change.

At this meeting, we will be electing a new committee.  There are a number of position available, including Vice-Chair, Secretary and committee members and election will be for a three-year period.  

Anyone who has not been proposed prior to the AGM, cannot be elected at the AGM, though members can be co-opted by the committee at any time.

Please share this with your members as u3a in Scotland committee members do not have to be members of the committee of their home u3a.  You may, however, be a member of your own committee and also be a member of u3a in Scotland committee.

We would really love to have a few new committee members and we also strongly feel that to serve and support the wide variety of u3as in Scotland in our cities, towns, rural areas and  islands, it is important to have committee members from all parts of the country. I would be happy to have a (no obligation) chat with anyone who might be interested in joining us.

Immediately after the AGM we will hold our Summer Event (on Zoom) and a Programme for this will follow in the next couple of weeks. We would love as many members as possible to join us and we will include an open session about what you would like us to do in the year ahead. We know many of you enjoyed our AutumnEevent on the subject of u3a travel groups. We loved holding our Spring Event at Pitlochry Festival Theatre and feel we have given ourselves a hard act to follow next year! We would love to get direct feedback on what you would like from us in the future.
