This group is led by Peter who has a lifelong interest in the subject.

A variety of topics will be discussed, focusing on the Ancient Middle East from 3000 BC to AD 500. We will look at peoples e.g. the Babylonians, Egyptians, Greeks, Romans etc. We will study different areas e.g. literature, culture, architecture, archaeology, philosophy, mythology, technology etc. Contributions of varying length will be made by the members of the group from their personal research or experience of a chosen topic. There will also be an update on latest news and discoveries.
